Many people in the Temecula Valley and Murrieta are aware that yoga has general mental and physical benefits; however many are not aware of how yoga actually effects you. Yoga is proven to help psychological and overall mental wellbeing through breathing exercises and syncing the body’s movements with the breath. As a result of the bodies breathing being controlled, this lowers the blood pressure and heart rate, putting the body in a relaxed state, which can help with regulation of anxiety as well as depression. These exercises benefit the physical and mental aspects of your body- they put the brain in a more relaxed state, while also preventing the onset of mental health conditions. As you can see, yoga benefits not only just your breathing, but your mental and physical health as well.
